According to agreement No. 66 of September 26, 2012, the journal “Science” is indexed in the Kazakhstan Citation Base (KazCB), which is formed by JSC “National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise”.

Calculation of the impact factor for KazCВ

The impact factor for KazCВ for the current year is defined as a ratio, the denominator of which is equal to the number of articles published by the journal in the previous two years, and the numerator is the number of references made in the current year to these publications in the sources covered by the KazCB resource.

An example of calculating the impact factor for KazCB for 2017

IF₂₀₁₇ = A/B

where, А – number of citations during 2017 of articles published in 2015 and 2016;

В – the number of articles published in the journal during 2015 and 2016.

KazCB includes kazakhstani journals that meet the requirements of GOST 7.5-98 «Journals, Collections, Information Publications. Publishing Design of Published Materials» and GOST 7.1-2003 «Bibliographic Record. Bibliographic Description. General Requirements and Rules for Compilation».

According to the Kazakhstan citation base ( KazCB) Science Journal has an impact factor of 0.004 for 2017 and -0.006 for 2016.
